I appreciate the staff in Lake Villa. Friendly, speak to me in a way I understand, keep me posted about upcoming issues with my old car. I also appreciate having a warm, comfie place to wait, and the option of a loaner car when I need it.

We have a 2000 Chevy Blazer. It's been in the family a long time. It's always a challenge to know how much money to invest, what to fix, where to spend the money. Skip, our mechanic always discusses our repairs with us and helps us prioritize what to fix. Always greeted when I enter, very courteous and professional staff, love Ken and Skip (thought Jeff would be hard to replace). Our cars are always well taken care of. If anything wrong they will discuss what is wrong and review options with you, plus they speak so you can understand auto verbiage. Love your shop, clean, and you have a TV going. Everyone of your staff bends over backwards to accommodate your clients needs and requirements. Very impressive.

I was referred to Gages Lake from a trusted friend and they have lived up to the recommendation. I brought my car in and asked them to do some work. They did most of the work I asked for but then surprised me by telling me that rather than spend $600-$800 with them to do the last job, they suggested I take the car to the dealer where they did the work under warranty for nothing. Honesty in business in general is difficult to find these days. It is so reassuring to know that I can bring my car in and feel completely comfortable knowing that they will do not only what’s best for my cars but also lookout for me. We have three cars in the family at this point and we will be bringing our cars here for everything including simple oil changes.

So my wipers fell apart during the latest round of winter. I'm headed for Indianapolis the upcoming weekend. It's Wednesday morning. I call the shop from the post office line and they say they can get me in. I'm in, quality set of blades hung, and out the door in 15 minutes!! Who else does this!? They do-that's why I keep coming back. You will too if you start bringing your car to them for regular service!

Service done at the Lake Villa location was very good. Work was done promptly and Ken, who waited on me, was helpful and it felt like he listened to me. The loaner car was also a very valuable " value added " as I did not have to bother anyone to come and get me or substantially alter my daily driving needs.
