Another routine oil change and the mechanics found another possible problem. I love how these guys always look out for you. It's not about them making more money from you, they honestly care about your safety going down the road. Does your current shop do that for you!?

Great costumer service and communication! Mechanics/Front of house always tells you what needs to be fixed first and what can wait! The world is so expensive now and we need our cars to run so honestly pricing is pricing... What I mean by that is you're gonna have to fix your car one way or another! (But you do get a discount if you pay in cash!!!!!) They do communicate on pricing though before they do the repairs. They also have loaners, you just need to fill the gas tank before you return the loaner!

Our daughter hit a curb with her front right tire in a slick icy snow on a Thursday night. She had it towed to the dealer she bought her vehicle at. Friday morning I called the dealer and they said they couldn’t even look at it for three weeks. So here’s the deal - our daughter was supposed to drive Sunday to stay with us in Tennessee for her two week Christmas break and we were watching her dog while she flew to meet friends in another state. Even if her vehicle could be fixed (bent lower control A-arm) somewhat quickly, the timing for her to still drive to be with us for Christmas was very tight. She is a teacher and she had to work Friday, so I was calling places from Tennessee. Another shop said they couldn’t get to her vehicle for at least a week. I was thinking she would have to rent a car for two weeks to still make Christmas and her vacation she saved up for all d was looking forward to all year. The second shop recommended Gages Lake Auto & Light Truck. I called and spoke with Todd. He listened to our trouble. Then he said he’d go tow her vehicle from the dealer to Gages Lake and look at it and call me back. That same Friday at 2pm, he called and said they got the parts and would have our daughter’s vehicle fixed by closing at 5:30!! She went with coworkers to an after school get together at a local restaurant and then got a ride to the shop where she paid and picked up her vehicle - all fixed! It was a Christmas miracle!!! She drove here (534 miles!) on Sunday as previously planned and everything worked out fine. With all the thanks to Gages Lake Auto!! Her friends and coworkers couldn’t believe it and they all asked for the shop’s name to put in their phones if they ever need service. We are very thankful for Gages Lake Auto! We will be back whenever we need something!

Great people and great service! Got an oil change for a reasonable price, and they did a detailed inspection of my vehicle free of charge. I got the sense that they genuinely care about their customers and about doing good, honest work. I definitely plan to continue doing business with them!
